Can I use Lorry Route for my vans, minibuses or coaches?
Yes! You can add any vehicle dimensions when setting up your vehicles, no matter how big or small! Restrictions such as time restrictions in major cities don’t just apply to HGVs.
Do I have to use Lorry Route?
With so many rules and road regulations it can be difficult to plan your journey for HGVs. We are working on partnerships with important industry professionals to make this the case, so we suggest you get ahead of the game and plan your routes with Lorry Route. Our compliant routes are the fastest on the market, efficient and green. We can also save you money on fuel costs, maintenance, missed drops and those dreaded PCNs.
What is a compliant route?
A compliant route is a route which complies with road traffic requirements such as vehicle weight, bridge heights, tunnel restrictions, schemes like the London Lorry Control Scheme, and local authority requirements for HGVs.
How do I get started?
It’s quick and easy. Select a plan which suits you and register. Once registered add your vehicle and generate a compliant route within minutes, or just get in touch with us.
Is the London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS) managed by Lorry Route?
No. The LLCS is managed and enforced by the London Councils who are independent to Lorry Route, however Lorry Route provides routes which are fully compliant with the LLCS. Therefore, if you receive a pesky PCN fine, you can provide evidence of the route given and the actual route taken using your online account.
Note: Your vehicle must be registered with London Councils. You risk a PCN if your vehicle is not registered even if you are using a compliant route. Learn more about LLCS here

Yes. We receive temporary road updates from a number of local authorities throughout the UK and this number is growing as our network grows. Road updates include roadworks and major events.
Note: We endeavour to include all road updates but we cannot guarantee all temporary road updates are taken into account as this depends on if we have been provided an update from the local authority and if the update was provided in a timely manner.
Can the route change for the same destination?
Yes. As we are always updating our roads data due to temporary road closures (eg. roadworks, major events), new road updates and new local authority requirements, your route may change.
